A day, hour by hour

The days begin early, with sunrise rituals and morning practice. There is time for the body to wake properly before breakfast, which is often eaten in silence. From there, the day takes its shape around each guest, with Ayurvedic treatments, meditation, breathwork and other practices woven through the morning.

Afternoons are more open, with time for Yoga Nidra, private treatments, a cooking session, or simply being outside.

Towards sunset, we come together for Agnihotram and satsang, where the practitioners share more of the principles behind the practices and guests can ask questions. Dinner comes early, followed by a simple evening ritual to aid sleep.

There is a rhythm to the days, but each person moves through them differently. The structure gives you something to follow while leaving enough room for the experience to become your own.

Who Looks After You

The week is led by Datu’s resident Vaidyas (Ayurvedic physicians) alongside a travelling team of yoga, breath and bodywork practitioners whose training runs through institutions such as Vaidyagrama, Ananda in the Himalayas and Vana. Approximately twenty-five practitioners are part of each retreat, giving us the breadth and time to shape the experience around each guest.

The price, in full

From £2,600 per person · seven nights

for a double room or £3,500 for a single room in the Palazzo’s Dharma category. Weekly stays: 19–26 October · 28 October – 4 November · 7–14 November · 16–23 November.

Nothing is paid today. After a conversation, your room is held for 48 hours; a 50% deposit confirms it, and the remainder is due one month before arrival.
